This hotel is clean and tidy but a little tired. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok, quite a limited choice but could have as much, or as little, as you wanted. We stayed for two nights, and that was enough. It's about a 15-minute walk down a steep hill (you have to walk back up) to the Metro, and about a 15-minute journey to the Colluseum, so not as close to the centre as we would have liked. The hotel is situated in a residential area, and there is nothing in the way of bars and restaurants nearby, although there are some down the hill! This hotel is definitely not for you if you have mobility issues. The '3' marking is based purely on the location.

Great base for exploring Rome. Short walk to the metro. Reception really friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast. Room small but adequate and clean. After a busy day in the city centre we found a great little outdoor bar for a chill out. Close to the hotel and used by by the locals. Lovely atmosphere. Aperol spritzers were amazing and reasonably priced.

The front desk attendant (young guy in his 30s with curly hair: on Tuesday Jan 10 5pm Rome time @ ARS Best Western hotel): The front desk attendant - he was threatening me with violence and was yelling obscenities telling me to f-off and to f-myself! I work for the embassy and nobody has ever talked to me like that ever! I don’t know what his problem was?? 😔 This is inexcusable / he’s telling me to f myself, and that I’m an idiot, and to go f off - nobody deserves to be talk like this, no matter what. It is so sad because I stayed almost a week at this hotel and I really enjoyed it, all the other people were super nice and the service excellent! I am really sad, and I don’t know what the heck happened with this guy - or this hotel! And the next day, after I complained to the manager - he laughed it off, saying it was just a misunderstanding! It was not! I do not recommend this hotel - it's definitely not worth the price: It is at most a 2 star hotel & it is located in a horrible location - dirty and far away from Rome city center (over an hour walk to the colesseum)! I will opt for a nicer closer hotel, with respectful service next time I am in Rome.

Best Western Ars hotel, Roma 🇮🇹 This is definitely a great hotel - beautiful, traditional Italian Palace-like hotel with a modern interior in a great location… I really enjoyed it here, and it was wonderful! But sometimes the best part of one’s stay at a hotel is the service, in this case, the service was perfection! Impeccable service at the front desk by Graziana! Great job 👏🏻 Thank you so much! I highly recommend this hotel 👍🏻 Ricardo

Lovely little hotel...

As this was a Groupon deal we didn't know what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised, this is a lovely little hotel, with lots of tucked away terraces for sitting in the setting sun with a glass of wine, the reception staff were lovely and very helpful, our room was very clean and tidy with a lovely bathroom and free safe, we had a cute balcony where I enjoyed a red wine with my book, breakfast was continental but very nice and sufficient, there are many restaurants in the local area. However, the bus service is excellent if you wish to eat in Rome centre, about 25 mins from hotel. It has easy transport links to and from the airport too. One point to make, if you find steps a problem, do NOT take the metro to the hotel as there are a LOT of steps up a bank which is hard going with your luggage, my husband has angina and found this a problem. It's €7 for bus from the airport to Termini Station, take the no 90 bus to sempione, then use Google for hotel it's a short walk with a slight bank but far better than the steps.
